From Casablanca
For the first day of our tour from Casablanca, we will start by picking you up at your preferred meeting location (hotel, airport…) then the real fun can begin! We will give you a tour of the most important historical monuments of Morocco’s economical capital, starting with Hassan II mosque. This mosque is a stunning piece of Islamic architecture, built at the edge of the Moroccan Atlantic coast, making it the very trademark of the city. After that, we will take you to a charming quarter called Habous, where a market for artisanal products takes place. You will get to walk around the quiet and picture perfect streets of the souk, then we will head to the corniche to enjoy the sea breeze as well as a plate of fresh seafood for lunch. You will spend the night at a local hotel.
Today, you will have breakfast at your hotel in Casablanca, then we will travel to Rabat city. Rabat is the administrative capital of the kingdom, and in here we will visit many important landmarks such as: the Oudaya Kasbah, the Chellah necropolis and the Hassan tower. After that, we will start heading north towards the famous “Blue town” Chefchaouen, passing through Kenitra and Ouazzane before arriving at Chefchaouen for the night.
This day will be spent enjoying the beauty of the blue town of Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen is famous for its iconic blue colored buildings that give the city a unique charm and make it a picture perfect background. We will guide you through the historical monuments of this city, as well as give you the freedom to explore it on your own. Dinner and overnight stay at the same accommodation.
After breakfast, we leave Chefchaouen in the direction of Fez. On our way, we will drive through the magnificent Riff Mountains and arrive at Volubilis, an important Roman archeological site. After exploring the ruins, we will continue to Meknes to tour Bab Mansour, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, and the Old Medina. Finally, we will reach Fez by evening.
We will explore the spiritual and imperial capital of Morocco, walking through Fez’s old Medina to learn about local traditions and customs. Our tour will include the colorful Chouara leather tanneries and notable Arabo-Islamic architecture. Later, we will explore the Jewish quarter “Mellah” and the modern part of the city, before returning to our hotel or Riad.
Today, we will begin our journey towards the Sahara Desert, driving through the Middle Atlas mountains. We will stop at Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco,” then at the cedar forests of Azrou to interact with wild monkeys. After lunch, we continue through lush green villages to reach Midelt, where we will spend the night.
After breakfast in Midelt, we head to Erfoud and then Merzouga, the gateway to the Moroccan desert. Guests will have the option to enjoy dinner with a local Nomad family. In the evening, we ride camels through the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset and reach a nomad-style desert camp for an overnight stay.
Wake up to admire the sunrise over the dunes, then visit Khamlia village to experience Gnaoua music. Continue exploring the desert, including Dayet Serji Lake, Yasmina Lake, and Hassi Labied village. Return to your hotel in Merzouga for dinner and overnight stay.
We will wake up early to visit Erfoud, then drive towards Todra Gorges, passing Rissani and Tinghir. Hike or stroll along the Todra River, then continue to Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will drive through the “road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” stopping at Kalaat Mgouna, Skoura, and Kasbah Ameridil, before finally arriving in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit the UNESCO site of Ait Ben Haddou, then drive to Kasbah Telouet for a Moroccan lunch. Continue through the Tizin Tichka pass to reach Essaouira in the evening, with dinner and overnight at a local Riad.
Explore the coastal town of Essaouira, walk along the Skala rampart, visit the Old Medina and Jewish quarter “Mellah.” Enjoy fresh seafood for lunch and free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the same accommodation.
After breakfast, depart for Marrakech, stopping at a local all-women Argan oil cooperative to learn about Argan oil production. Arrive in Marrakech for lunch and check into a traditional Riad. Free afternoon to explore before dinner.
