From Fes
On the first day of the 4 days from Fes to Marrakech we will pick you up early in the morning from your accommodation in Fes, in order to begin our journey towards Morocco’s Sahara Desert.
Along the way, we will be driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains in our comfortable private car, which will allow you to appreciate all the scenery from mountains to rivers to scattered small villages. We will stop by the beautiful Ifrane town, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, then at the cedar forests of Azrou in order to interact with the wild monkeys that live there. We will stop at the town of Midelt for lunch, then finally head to Erfoud town after crossing the magnificent Ziz Valley.
At this point, we will reach our final destination, which is the Erg Chebbi desert near Merzouga.
Our camel caravan will be waiting for us, which we will ride through the sunset and head to the desert camp where we will be spending the night. You will enjoy a cozy atmosphere around a campfire and under the starry night sky, followed by a mouthwatering dinner before sleeping in your luxury tent.
This next morning of the 4 days from Fes to Marrakech, we will all wake up in time to admire the sun rising and casting her beautiful colors on the desert dunes, then we will head out to the nearby Khamlia village. Khamlia is important for its rich history, and many people visit it nowadays to get a chance to experience the genuine Gnaoua music played by its masters.
After that, we will roam free through the endless desert dunes, meeting Nomad families and spending time with them to learn more about their lifestyle. We will continue exploring all the exciting things that the desert has to offer, such as Dayet Serji Lake, Yasmina Lake, Hassi Labied village and more. Finally, we will return to our Merzouga hotel to have dinner and spend the night.
Today on the 4 days from Fes to Marrakech, we will wake up relatively early in order to go for one last camel trekking ride while the sun is rising, and enjoy the majestic desert scenery. After that we will return to the hotel where you can shower and have breakfast, before we start driving towards the famous Todra Gorges.
On the way there we will pass by the towns of Rissani and Tinghir before finally reaching our destination. The site, where we will also have lunch, is known for its 300 meters high gorges that attract people from all over the world. We can hike around the valley or simply walk along the Todra River — the experience will be just as interesting regardless. Finally, we will head to our final destination of the day: the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.
After having breakfast while enjoying the landscape at the Dades Valley, we will begin our journey towards Marrakech “the red city”. We will start by driving through a road known as the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs”, in which you will get to discover wonderful scenery from the south of Morocco.
The road will lead us to a city called Kalaat Mgouna, situated in the blooming Valley of Roses. After that, we will visit the famous UNESCO world heritage site: the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou where many important international movies were shot. Following that, we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains (specifically the Tizin Tichka pass) before finally arriving at the Red City to end our 4 days from Fes to Marrakech.
Absolutely! The itinerary can be fully personalized — you can extend your stay, add activities like sandboarding or quad biking, or choose different accommodation levels. You may also request to start the tour in Marrakech and finish in Fes instead.
The camel trek lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours each way — once during sunset heading to the camp, and again for sunrise the next morning. Guests who prefer comfort can request a 4x4 vehicle transfer to the camp instead of riding camels.
You’ll stay one night in a luxury desert camp in Erg Chebbi, one night in a hotel in Merzouga, and one night in a riad or hotel in the Dades Valley. All accommodations offer private rooms, clean bathrooms, and authentic Moroccan design with modern comfort.
Yes, breakfasts and dinners are included during the entire tour. Lunches are not included but can be enjoyed at traditional Moroccan restaurants along the route. Vegetarian and vegan options are available upon request.
