From Marrakech
For this day trip to Essaouira, you will be visiting a charming coastal town with golden sand beaches, historical buildings, landmarks, and magnificent arts and handicrafts. Essaouira is about 180 kilometers away from Marrakech, and its fresh sea breeze makes for a nice escape from Marrakech’s summer heat.
Today you will explore the charming Essaouira by walking along the historical rampart “Skala” that was established by the Portuguese a long time ago. You must also discover the wonderful craftsmanship unique to Essaouira, displayed in the city’s Old Medina (considered a UNESCO world heritage site).
Another part of the city that you shouldn’t miss is the Jewish quarter “Mellah”. For lunch, you will get to try the local fresh seafood cuisine, then you will have the rest of the day to freely enjoy the city. We suggest catching a spot in a café or restaurant with a panoramic view and just enjoying the cozy atmosphere. Finally, we will drive back to Marrakech in the evening and drop you off at your preferred location. This is how we end our day trip to Essaouira.
