For the first day of our 8 Days Morocco Itinerary from Casablanca, we will start by picking you up at your preferred meeting location (hotel, airport…) then the real fun can begin! We will give you a tour of the most important historical monuments of Morocco’s economical capital, starting with Hassan II mosque. This mosque is a stunning piece of Islamic architecture, built at the edge of the Moroccan Atlantic coast, making it the very trademark of the city. After that, we will take you to a charming quarter called Habous, where a market for artisanal products takes place.
You will get to walk around the quiet and picture perfect streets of the souk, then we will head to the corniche to enjoy the sea breeze as a well as a plate of fresh seafood for lunch. At this point, we will be done exploring Casablanca and we will head to Rabat city, the capital of the kingdom. After visiting the Hassan tower and the Oudaya Kasbah, we will finally check in at the Riad where we will be having dinner and spending the night.
We will have breakfast at the Riad, then leave to spend some last moments touring Rabat before leaving towards the spiritual capital Fes. On our way there we will stop at Meknes, the Ismaili capital, to explore this imperial city. We will first stop by the iconic Bab Mansour gate, before continuing to Sahrij Souani Basin and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
We will have lunch in the city then we will drive to Volubilis town, an important archeological site since it used to be a Roman city. After exploring the well-preserved roman ruins, we will finally head to Fez city where we will have dinner and spend the night at either a hotel or a Riad.
For the next day of our 8 Days Morocco Itinerary from Casablanca, we will explore everything that the spiritual capital of Morocco has to offer. In fact, Fez was the first ever imperial city founded by an Islamic dynasty in Morocco, hence why it’s considered a spiritual and holy capital.
We will walk through the narrow streets of Fez’s old Medina, in order to learn more about the traditions and customs of locals, and discover the wide range of artisanal products displayed by craftsmen. Our tour will also include, the colorful Chouara leather tanneries, and a variety of buildings showcasing the finest Arabo-Islamic architecture. After we are done with that we will explore the Jewish quarter “Mellah” as well as the modern part of the city, before finally returning to our hotel or Riad.
Today on the 8 Days Morocco Itinerary from Casablanca, we will begin our journey towards Morocco’s Sahara Desert, driving through the Middle Atlas mountains in our comfortable private car. This will allow you to appreciate all the scenery from mountains to rivers to scattered small villages. We will from stop by the beautiful Ifrane town, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, then at the cedar forests of Azrou in order to interact with the wild monkeys that live there. After stopping at the town of Midelt for lunch, we will finally head to Erfoud town where we will spend the night.
After waking up in the desert, we will have breakfast at the hotel then head out to the nearby Erg Chebbi dunes to explore the desert of Morocco, starting at Khamlia village. Khamlia is important for its rich history, and many people visit it nowadays to get a chance to experience the genuine Gnaoua music played by its masters. After that, we will roam free through the endless desert dunes, meeting Nomad families and spending time with them to learn more about their lifestyle.
Finally, after heading back to our hotel for lunch, we will ride our camels through the sunset and head to the desert camp where we will be spending the night. You will enjoy a cozy atmosphere around a campfire and under the starry night sky, followed by a mouthwatering dinner before sleeping in our tents.
This next morning of the 8 Days Morocco Itinerary from Casablanca, we will all wake up in time to admire the sun rising and casting her beautiful colors on the desert dunes, then we will return to Merzouga riding our camels once more. You can shower and have breakfast at the hotel, before we start driving towards the famous Todra Gorges.
On the way there we will pass by the towns of Rissani and Tinghir before finally reaching our destination. The site, where we will also have lunch, is known for its 300 meters high gorges that attract people from all over the world. We can hike around the valley or simply walk along the Todra River, the experience will be just as interesting regardless. Finally, we will head to our final destination of the day: the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.
After having breakfast while enjoying the landscape at the Dades Valley, we will begin our journey towards Ouarzazate “The Hollywood of Morocco”. We will start by driving through a road known as the “road of a Thousand Kasbahs”, in which you will get to discover wonderful scenery from the south of Morocco. The road will lead us to a city called Kalaat Mgouna, situated in the blooming valley of roses. After passing by Skoura city, we will stop by the historical Kasbah of Ameridil before finally arriving at Ouarzazate where we will spend the night.
After breakfast, we will tour this highly cinematic city before moving on to another iconic monument. We will visit the famous UNESCO world heritage site: the historical Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, where many important international movies were shot (such as Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, the Mummy…).
Following that, we will drive to another nearby Kasbah, the Kasbah of Telouet to enjoy a Moroccan lunch in the middle of a Berber village. Finally, we will head straight to Marrakech by driving through the High Atlas Mountains (specifically the Tizin Tichka pass) before finally arriving at the red city. You will have a traditional Tanjia for dinner before spending the night at a local Riad. Then, we will end our 8 Days Morocco Itinerary from Casablanca.
